TWO Crew

Jason Devall
Executive Producer/Public Relations

Jason Devall has been reviewing toys for the better part of a decade. Through the constant changes and obstacles in his life one thing remained constant, his love for toys. This insane love and his unique kookiness gave him the drive to co-create That New Toy Smell and The Pop Culture Network. He has reviewed hundreds of toys from dozens of companies. From masculine toys to, um, not-so-masculine toys, Devall has timelessly put himself aside to review what the people want.Devall also happens to love anything Disney…and Muppets. Yes…don’t forget the Muppets.

David Draper

Who is David Draper?

Shortly after the Big Bang, a vast cloud of dust began to coalesce into what would one day become our sun. Then a bunch of other stuff happened until Dave became the Richard Roeper to Devall’s Gene Siskel on some other network – his eventual departure from which leaving a swath of broken, bloody bodies and fiery wreckage in his wake. Now, like his childhood hero, C’thulhu, he slumbers fitfully, biding his time and waiting for the stars to be right before he arises once more.

A. Das Baron
Me n' Bea A. Das Baron was once a different man from a different galaxy. Fearing the destruction of his home planet and loved ones, he pledged himself to his destroyer. Now traversing the stars finding suitable planets for his new master to feast from, he came across the blue planet known as Earth. Finding that the third planet from the sun reminded him of the diversity and compassion of his home world, he defied his master in pleading that it be spared, only to be condemned to this beautiful developing world…or maybe that was the Silver Surfer’s origin. He can’t quite tell anymore; being a man of many personalities, it’s hard to keep track. Though one thing remains constant: his love of toys, comics and cartoons. Always one to turn anything into a pop culture reference, A. Das Baron began his love of it all with The Real Ghostbusters, sitting in front of the TV as a toddler with his proton pack ever at the ready to fend off ghouls and protect his toys neatly lined up in precise order on the coffee table (so don’t touch them!), which continues to this day. Word to the wise, if you ever find yourself in a Sentai/Mighty Morphin Power Rangers discussion, god help you and prepare for a mouthful. Known to rock a suit for any occasion, he’s also an aspiring voice actor ready to take the world by storm!

Emeritus Executive Producer/BBQ-Flavored Coffee

BC Direct has been collecting action figures for two decades, pursuing it as hobby next to his career in the entertainment industry. He has been involved in the Food and Beverage Review game for several years inside his mind and decided that the world of Toy Reviews would be the next logical step. When he isn’t dancing with the stars or risking his life on Deadliest Catch, he can be found in his studio creating and customizing action figures and accessories. He is very energetic in expressing his opinion, often past the point of tactfulness or making sense. But what else can be expected from someone who would rather pull his teeth, than bite his tongue? Likes: Anything Green Lantern, DC Direct, Bandai Megaman/Rockman Model Kits, DST Minimates

David World
Emeritus Executive Producer/Dancing Monkey

David has balanced the insanity of his career as a television producer and voice over actor with the only thing that has brought him true happiness: toys. Born on the Central Coast of California, he is a true child of the 80’s, buying into all the materialism and shameless merchandising the decade brought.  Even though he took a few years off to collect comics in the early 90’s, David returned to his roots in 1995 with the release Kenner’s Star Wars: Power of the Force 2 line of action figures. Since then, whether it’s scouring the pegs of his local Targets and Toys R Usses or tucking His “DC Universe”  and “Masters of the Universe” Classics figures into bed with him at night, David finds time for toys every day. Likes: Star Wars, Masters of the Universe Classics, DC Universe Classics, Batman Legacy, Batman TAS, Shocker Toys Indie Spotlight, GI Joe, Marvel Universe (including movie figures), Halo, Sideshow, video games
